Spring and summer bring some of the biggest predators into our local waters. Anglers have a blast hooked up to these powerful fish. These sharks are here, feeding on the abundance of food. From bait schools to shrimp boats, to mullet and tarpon schools. They have plenty to choose from. Common spring species are blacktip/ spinner, bull, sandbar, hammer & tigers.
Azaria pictured above with her FIRST ever shark catch. She did a great job reeling in this BIG catch, she even got the shark to smile for a photo! They were eating bonito this day. They tend to crave whatever they are eating locally at the moment. I always tell people, catch your bait, then upgrade it to a BEAST! Shark was safely released after this quick snapshot. Anglers also have the option to tag their catch during charter.
