We finally experienced our first cool snap. Most Florida residents are loving the lower humidity and cooler nights which are bringing down our water temps. Fish too! With these changes brought out the bite! Trout have been active on our grass flats inshore.
You can target these fish with lures or live bait. Popping corks work great to grab their attention and bring them up to the surface. Two examples below, you can use them with an artificial bait or live.
I often fish live baits on floats to keep the bait fish out of the grass. Small pinfish seem to be what these trout are after recently.
