With the east side of the Harbor having little water during negative tides, focus your fishing near the outside of the bar. Knowing the area well will prevent you from getting stuck. Google earth is a great tool for mapping out new areas to explore. Hiding from the wind is a great option, as our area has vast canal system that is home to some great catches. Redfish, snook, trout and cobia have been moving along the deeper edges of the bar. This week we used a lot of artificial bait -- both lures and soft plastics.
